Snorkelling at Barra do Sucuri in Bonito
Located approximately 17 km from Bonito, MS, this excursion takes place on the Sucuri River, renowned for the incredible clarity of its waters.
The experience begins with an easy 150-metre walk along a trail leading to a deck, where participants receive training and the necessary equipment for the activity. From there, the group travels upstream by boat for about 1,300 meters to the starting point for snorkelling.
What differentiates this snorkelling tour from the others is its unique structure: the journey upstream is made by boat, while the return trip is spent floating downstream, allowing visitors to admire the Sucuri River and it’s fauna and flora both from the surface and underwater. Along the way, you can observe fish, aquatic vegetation, and the confluence of the Sucuri and Formoso rivers.
After the activity, visitors can also enjoy the decks along the banks of the Formoso River for a refreshing swim.
The facility includes a restaurant, changing rooms, a relaxation area, lockers, parking, Wi-Fi, and a souvenir shop.
You do not need to know how to swim to participate, and children aged 6 and older are welcome to join.
